Even a monkey understands that if you see no evil and hear no evil you will speak no evil. Violent games and tv shows infect the brains of our youth; I don't care what any friendly, well-meaning, parasitic corporation, bleeding the integrity and respect from our children, has to say or what "evidence" they provide to the contrary. Did the networks go so broke that intelligent banter and satire written by people with vision became so expensive they hired 13 year old boys in their place? All the shows on tv these days are low brow, including nothing outside of personal hygiene issues, fart jokes, and animated characters that speak in incomplete sentences like they never learned prepositional phrases? If knowledge is power we are allowing our children to be molded into perfect uneducated slaves. Even if you don't work out, it takes minimal effort to push a button on the remote. It might be the channel button, or it might be the off button, but one of them might be the most important button you could have ever pressed.

In my opinion, even as a child of the '80s (born in 1977 and i have no memory of the '70s at all), I think modern golden age of cartoons was in the 1990s. My generations cartoons were nothing more than 30 minute toy advertisements (He-Man, She-Ra, Transformers, GI Joe, Rainbow Brite, Get A Long Gang, Centurions, Thundercats, Silverhawks etc etc). The 1990s had quality animation. Cartoon/animation quality dove off sometime in the 2000s and it seems to be getting worse. There's a few bright spots (Regular Show and Adventure Time I admit I really like), but there is a lot of garbage on nowadays.
